A HEALTHY SMILE FOR YOUR CHILD BEGINS TODAY

The AAPD recommends that your child see a dentist by age 1 or within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth. Taking a proactive approach to your child’s dental care will help keep his or her smile healthy for life. We look forward to building a strong foundation of dental health and becoming your child’s dental home.

Children should see a dentist every six months or twice a year. Maintaining regular dental visits enables us to catch problems, such as decay, early. At RVA Pediatric Dentistry, we hope to offer the least invasive treatment option and correct bad habits that may lead to more invasive treatment in the future.

Adolescence is a time of transition for children as they begin to take over their oral health care. Research shows the highest rate of cavity formation is seen during the teenage years. We look forward to educating our teenage patients about good oral health routines and how to prevent cavities.

AN EXPERIENCE THAT
CHILDREN & PARENTS LOVE

“I just took my 2yr old for her first checkup. I have to say I was nervous of how she would do but the staff made her so comfortable and kept her entertained. I could tell my daughter was happy and she said she had so much fun at the dentist. I recommend anyone with children give this place a try. They are awesome!!”

Christina W.

“LOVED this practice! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming! My son had a good visit and I’m very pleased with the care he received!”

Karyn C.

“Very friendly and personable staff! They make my 2.5 yr old feel very comfortable and brave, and he gets his teeth cleaned and checked without any fight or tears.”

Whitney S.

“Clean teeth and happy kids— had a great experience here with my boys. My three year old happily let the hygienist clean and dentist inspect his teeth and my one year old had a successful first visit!”
